Bryan R Dalton

B R Dalton is an astonishingly talented singer who crafts the most heartwarming of folk songs. Lush and intimately confronting, his poignant lyrics are woven through an unmistakably Irish sonic tapestry, delivered with truth and grace. The Irish born singer-songwriter has called Australia home for the past ten years, performing everywhere from revered live music venues, festival stages, intimate theatres and pubs to street corners, masterfully honing a spectacular collection of songs.

BR Dalton has performed in some exceptional settings. Highlights include an opening slot for Irish rock outfit The Coronas on their most recent Australian tour and performing the opening slot for the prolific Damien Rice at Dublin’s famous Iveagh Gardens and Melbourne Recital Centre. Other collaborations include shows with The Perth Symphony Orchestra, Declan O’Rourke, Stu Larsen and Amistat.

BR Dalton celebrated the release of his debut album “Blood & Gold” in October 2018, performing to sold out rooms at Perth’s prestigious Ellington Jazz Club and Fremantle’s Kidogo Arthouse, followed by a first national tour including shows in Melbourne, Adelaide and Sydney.
“BR Dalton’s debut album, Blood and Gold, explores themes of love, loss, heartbreak and complete utter dissolution even touching on the political spectrum shifting at key moments to Irelands ferocious battle for independence.

Embellished with world class string arrangements, double bass, hauntingly distorted electric guitars and lush harmonies, it is a hugely dynamic and captivating experience. From start to finish, BR Dalton’s debut is a slow burning listener’s album reminiscent of early Swell Season records. It’s hard to ignore that this artist’s authenticity is undoubtedly cut from the same thick cloth as the likes of Glen Hansard and Damien Dempsey.”
