Leanne was born in Melbourne into a musical family with her father being known as Australia’s answer to Roy Orbison. Leanne grew up around music and learnt the Clarinet at high School. The clarinet was fun for Leanne but she picked up the guitar and taught herself. Leanne’s late teens she was performing in a Rock and Roll band called “Rock profile”. In her Early 20’s she started to develop a love of writing songs. During her 20’s she wasn’t really all that keen to perform as she had other interests in photography and pursued that for a period of time. This does not mean however she did not do anything musically. There were many functions she performed at.

Leanne was pursued by many bands and performers in her 30’s and released her first cd titled AcousticLee. Three of her songs were entered into Song of the year, an international song writing competition. The song titled “Without condition” finished in first place and two other songs finished in the top 3. After joining the band, “Jukebox Jackaroos”, Leanne became very well known in the Outer Eastern region of Melbourne. The country Rock band was making a big sound with her power house vocals. During her time with the band Leanne continued to perform as a solo artist as well and only performed her songs as she felt new music must be heard.

After the break up of the band Leanne joined up with her father and performed classic hit songs and she enjoyed developing a great list of covers. The kind of venues and events you would see her perform at are endless. She has performed at weddings, funerals, rock and roll dances, pubs, clubs, fund raisers, choirs, Busking at various locations around the country, wineries, café’s, Nursing homes, retirement villages and folk festivals.

With a move to Perth around 3 years ago Leanne felt like she was starting again, however she loves a challenge and she will not sit back and wait for things to fall in her lap. She puts herself out there and she is doing well. Leanne loves performing Acoustically but she also spent a good part of 12 months creating backing tracks. She felt that having bass and a solid beat helps to get the party started and people to dance, where appropriate. Leanne reads her audiences well and enjoys delivering a professional and fun ambiance. She is currently producing her second CD and performing around Perth at various locations.

As well as live vocals and acoustic guitar, Leanne performs a selection of the below songs with backing tracks go give a fuller sound than you would expect from most soloists.

  • Thank you Leanne for entertaining us at our Mines Christmas Function! Leanne is a fantastic singer plus a very engaging and interactive with the audience. Her huge repertoire and versatility ensured everyone was happy and the dance floor crowded. Leanne's relaxed and friendly manner and talent made it a night to remember. Its quite a task organising equipment and people to come to site, but Leanne was easy to access to discuss details for freight and flights etc. so flights, freight and transport were not an issue. We would definitely hire her again!
