Wayne Ransom is an accomplished vocalist and guitarist with over 50 years experience as a working musician. Originally from Melbourne and now living in Mandurah on the West Coast of Australia playing everything from easy listening and rock and roll to contemporary rock, Wayne is passionate about music, and it shows through in his performances. He has fronted various successful bands over the years that have supported many great Australian acts including Ol’ 55, Skyhooks, ACDC, Screaming Jets, Doug Parkinson, Renee Geyer, Denise Drysdale and many many more.
Throughout his career, Wayne Ransom has done various recording session jobs and played in a number of successful Melbourne cover bands including: Regular Boys, Demix and for ten years was Lead Singer-Lead guitarist with top Melbourne blues-rock band ‘L.A. Express’. For three years he was the Lead Guitarist-Vocalist for the fabulous Gold Coast show band, The Good Rockin’ Daddy’s and was the founding member and front man of Gold Coast Rockabilly band The Jive Cats.
Wayne Ransom has exceptional versatility that has led him to lots of exciting work over the years. He was a backing vocalist for American award winning Max Pellicano’s “Elvis to the Max” tours during his concerts at the Crown Casino Showroom in Melbourne and having the uncanny ability to sound remarkably like Neil Diamond, he performed the part of the great man in the Australian Joe Cocker Tribute Show “With a little help from my friends” for over 3 years.
