The band Broken Tides is one of the leading rock bands within Western Australia, and in particular the Pilbara region. Broken Tides is steadfast in its pursuit of developing a reputation as the most professional band and is being recognised across the music and arts market.
The band has played numerous events at Marble Bar Cup weekend in 2016 (Marble Bar Ball and Iron Clad Hotel) and in 2019 (Iron Clad Hotel).
Broken Tides has a reputation extends to playing at numerous mine and gas plant sites over the past 6 years in the Pilbara, at Roy Hill, Rio Tinto, Chevron and FMG, as well as corporate production with BHP and FMG in Port Hedland in 2019 and 2021, and various Rodeo events and hotel venues throughout the Pilbara, as well undertaking social programs in the Pilbara with Roy Hill and the Nullagine Primary School.
Broken Tides has performed at Charity Balls in 2016 in Port Hedland and the much-recognised MADALA BALL in August 2019 and 2021, at the Burswood Casino Ball Room, to a crowd of 800 people. The Marble Bar Cup in 2016, was one of the highlights of the race round with the band performing at the Civic Centre a Rio Carnival theme with full traditional dancers and costumes.
Band members comprise of local Indigenous Pilbara musicians and Perth based Brazilians musicians. The Band’s new line up has provided a more versatile pub rock entertainment and will be playing again in 2022 at the Madala Ball, and recently secured gigs with FMG, BHP and Rio Tinto in 2022.
The Bands versatility also allows them to provide corporate functions with acoustic sets and provides a DJ Service.
Its repertoire of music includes Indigenous and Brazilian music and mainstream music such as The Police, Steve Earl, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Dragon, Cold Chisel, The Dandy Warhols, The Black Keys, Queen, Dire Straits, The Screaming Jets, Wolfmother, AC/DC, INXS.
