Duality
Together, Harvey and Lauren are Duality, a duo of two accomplished singers and multi-instrumentalists who utilise guitars, keyboards, and loops to create a musical experience with a wide range of popular hits from many genres.
Duality are Lauren Marsden (Duality Lead and backing vocals / Keyboards) and Harvey Lizaman (Duality Lead and backing vocals / Guitars / Loops).
Lauren is a versatile and energetic entertainer with many years of performing experience. She started vocal training at the age of 14 and has performed for audiences both large and small. Her rendition of the National Anthem in front of the Australia Day crowd and her involvement as an ensemble member in ‘Legally Blond, The Musical’ have been among the highlights of her career to date. She currently sings for people from all walks of life in her day job with one of Perth’s famous river cruise companies, whilst studying her Bachelor of Music at WAAPA.
Harvey is a full-time musician, performing as a solo entertainer, as part of an in-demand duo, and with several bands around Perth and WA. He grew up in Germany and his engagement with numerous cover and original bands dating back to the 80’s has seen him touring Austria, England, France, and Switzerland. Since arriving in Perth in 1999 he has played over 2000 shows in the pub and club scene and in the high-end corporate market with ‘Stars on 45’, ‘Airbag’, ‘Blue Gene’ and ‘Chris Murphy and the Holy Rollers’, among many others.
Together they have formed Duality, a duo of two accomplished singers and multi-instrumentalists who utilise guitars, keyboards, and loops to create a musical experience that is not restricted by relying on backing tracks. This allows for great flexibility when it comes to those sing-along moments; Duality has you covered!
