Perth singer and entertainer Earl Cole has collaborated with piano maestro David Wickham for over a decade, a piano duo ideal for cocktail parties, weddings and events where sophisticated background music is required. For some 25 years, Earl has forged a reputation as a quality vocalist in the Perth music scene and has performed internationally and interstate. From jazz crooning to singing pop and rock with his cover band “80s Inc”, he is a truly versatile and seasoned vocalist. An elite classical pianist, David enjoys diversifying into other genres and as a duo Earl and David perform jazz standards and covers of contemporary artists like Michael Buble and Harry Connick Jnr. No backing tracks are used – just live piano and vocals.
David is one of Australia’s pre-eminent accompanists. He has broadcast several recitals for ABC Classic FM, BBC Radio 3 and UK Classic FM, largely as accompanist for artists such as Gregory Yurisich, Lisa Gasteen, Cheryl Barker, Emma Matthews, Sara Macliver, Fiona Campbell, Andrew Nicholson, Margaret Blades, Michael Goldschlager and Lisa Harper-Brown. David was a senior lecturer at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts.
