Embodying the essence of Maori culture through the art of dance, particularly the powerful and emotive Haka performances, Ngaru Pou display their cultural heritage in an incredible and mesmerising way. The group is comprised of passionate individuals coming together with a shared vision: to celebrate and preserve the rich traditions of Maori culture through dance and haka for future generations. Central to their repertoire is the Haka, a traditional war dance infused with raw energy and profound symbolism. Aimed not only to entertain but also to educate, the performers shed light on the significance of Maori customs and beliefs.

Performances at festivals, concerts and cultural events have earned Ngaru Pou a highly regarded reputation, including WA Massed Choir Festival, Waitangi Celebrations, RugbyWA and more.

Winning the People’s Choice Award at the Perth Royal Show in 2023, Ngaru Pou are continuing to push boundaries and are gaining the recognition they deserve, as a group of dedicated Maori performers providing a rich Maori cultural experience for all.
