Mitchell Martin is a 22-year-old musician from Bunbury, who is now studying music in Perth, at the Western Australian Academy Of Performing Arts.
Since moving to Perth in 2017, Mitchell has undertaken two regional tours of WA, performed six headline shows in Perth and one in Bunbury, supported British India at the Shift Festival, Killing Heidi & Justice Crew at the Illuminate Festival, Kyle Lionhart & Elli Schoen at the City Of Gosnell’s Live At The Amphitheatre, Juzzie Smith on his regional tour of WA, performed on the main stage of the Perth BeerFest, the Fremantle BeerFest, the Mandurah CrabFest, the Coogee Festival, the Donnybrook Festival, placed second in the City of Gosnells ‘Gozzy Rock’ competition, performed live on Telethon 2018 and was invited to perform live in front of 50,000 people at Optus Stadium for the Fremantle Dockers & Hit92.9.
Mitchell has also been having a lot of success online, with EDM feature tracks reaching over 400,000 streams on Spotify and his latest single ‘Dim the Lights’ landing at #20 on the iTunes Rock Charts. His soon to be released single ‘Be Myself’ was nominated for the 2019 Western Australian Song of the Year by WAM.
Mitchell and his band are booked to support pop band Shepphard famous for their hit Geronimo at the City of Belmont Finale Festival as well as on the main stage at the Musical Fruit Festival, the Nannup Festival, Telethon 2019 and are about to embark on a Western Australian Tour.
