Coolen Joyce & The Band is a professional five piece band with a repertoire ranging from Disco, Funk, Soul, R&B, Pop, Rock N Roll and Rock songs from the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s to current top 40 billboard charts hits that keep all ages entertained with selected high energy upbeat music and a set list that spans decades of great music intended to captivate the crowd and keep them partying all night long. They thrive on audience interaction, get everyone up to the dance floor and work hard to the satisfaction of entertaining people.

Coolen Joyce & The Band have been performing in pubs, bars, taverns, restaurants, hotels, weddings, corporate events, private functions and community events with very impressed clients including big companies in Perth and overflowing positive feedback known for it’s professional sound, versatility, high quality entertainment and overall performance. Boasting the experience of seasoned professional musicians, the band’s ability to adapt perfectly to your function is something they are extremely proud of. The six piece band consists of guitar, bass, drums, keys, male and female vocals making the band adapt to a wide range of musical genre. Each band member has many years of live music experience playing in a variety of musical acts and shows, which when put together make up a very capable musical group.

MEET THE BAND:

Joyce- Lead Vocals
Joyce started her career early, performing in Theatres and took her lessons till the age of 20 singing numerous shows and concerts. She has shared the stage with famous local artists. She has performed throughout highschool and associated school bands. She has sang at 5 star hotels’ lounges and bars. She has been performing with her corporate band around Perth’s popular venues with big following and always a favourite for corporate and wedding functions. She covers popular songs from the 60’s to current hits and always noticed for her unique tone and style. Her musical styles include Disco, Funk, Jazz/Fusion, R&B, Soul, Pop, Reggae and Rock. She loves to give her all on stage. A true entertainer who brings shows to life with her enthusiasm and versatile voice.

Keshet- Lead Guitarist
Keshet first discovered his passion for guitar at age 16, where he harnessed his gift as an innovative musician and began to make his mark on the industry. From here, his experience has been boundless and impressive, having performed in a multitude of bands and musical projects across the Middle East, Europe, Asia and Australia. He is now a force to be reckoned with in the local Perth scene, and is sought-after to play in original bands, cover bands and as a solo guitarist. A man of many hats, he is versatile in genre, spanning Middle Eastern, blues, rock, metal, funk, progressive and more. This is also shown in his keen ability to recreate and put a unique spin on well-known songs; these exceptional covers capture the attention of listeners, and have drawn hundreds of thousands of views on YouTube. He has also written a number of original songs as a lyricist, composer and instrumentalist, which have also drawn strong praise.
The nuance, dynamic and range that is shown in Keshet’s guitar playing is unmatched – from gentle ballad strumming to complex riffs and powerful shredding, Keshet speaks through his instrument and carries a soulful presence that enchants audiences.
Keshet also has a Diploma in Sound Design and Production, which shows through his works as a musical director, video producer and sound engineer. His past experience in these endeavours include acting as musical director for the acclaimed The Jackson Tribute Show, videographer (and guitarist) for professional productions of Jesus Christ Superstar, We Will Rock You, Pirates of Penzance and Cats, and technical assistant for large scale international touring artists.
In addition to being an accomplished performer and technician, Keshet has also composed and performed in Perth’s first original Rock Opera – The Diments – which had a successful season to sold-out audiences. He has also written and composed Perth’s first Ethnic Contemporary Opera, The Hollow Cause, featured in a notable showcase. Offstage, Keshet is also a highly esteemed guitar teacher, where he nurtures the next generation of guitarists to recognise their highest potential as masterful musicians.

Audrey- Keyboardist
Audrey started playing the piano at aged 4, but only joined her first band around 6 years ago. She played with the Channel 9 Loud Bastards, winning the Corporate Battle of the Bands in 2017 and the Youngbloods Bullshit Battle of the Ad Bands in 2018. She performed regularly with Indiana on the Perth 60’s Rock N Roll Circuit. Volunteering as a pianist at Freo Hospital and also Southern Cross care home has given her experience as a solo entertainer too. She plays many genres of music, including disco, country, classical, pub rock, brit pop, ballads and a bit of top 40. She loves playing to a dancing crowd.

Lawrence- Bassist
Lawrence started playing the Bass at the age of 21, studied Bass informally at University of the Philippines extension of music in 2011 June till 2012 early January. Lawrence harnessed his playing doing live music in the Phillippines, Under Tsikennstar production, playing under San Miguel Beer Corporation. His influences are John Myung of Dream Theater, Flea of Red Hot Chilli Peppers, John Pattitucci of Chick Corea, and Victor Wooten of the Best Bass player and a Legend. Playing With Resound The Band is a Marvelous Experience as he shares his passion for music in the World.

Roland- Drummer
Roland has played with various musicians in a wide array of genres He started off playing guitar and bass until he decided to stick with drums when he was 17. Played and did recording sessions for a number of artists. He is very good at doing backing vocals and produces beautiful harmonies.
