Josh Johnstone is Your Wedding Singer..  With 20 years experience as a musician, specialising in weddings and corporate events, Josh has performed at over 400 weddings and boasts one of the largest song repertoires in Perth. Rather than using backing tracks, his live solo performance features vocals, acoustic guitar, stomp/beat box and loop pedal, which is paired with top quality audio equipment to produce a full sound that keeps the party on the dance floor where it belongs!

Depending on the size of your event, Josh can perform solo, or with his duo, trio… all the way up to a 6 piece band, which features a female singer and some of Perth’s best musicians. Josh’s accompanying musicians are all not only WAAPA trained (Western Australia Academy of Performing Arts), but have been also playing with Josh for several years, so you can expect nothing but the highest quality whichever lineup you choose.

As well as both stripped back acoustic and uptempo party music, Josh also offers a DJ service as part of all Your Wedding Singer packages and also has an interactive Photo-booth available for hire.

BIOGRAPHY:
Josh Johnstone is Your Wedding Singer.. Recently relocating back to Perth after being Melbourne based for the last 10 years, Josh is an international touring musician and singer/songwriter.

In 2018 Josh released his second album ‘II’ which features tracks that you may have heard on Triple J, 96FM, RTR FM, Red FM, WA FM, Nova and countless other radio networks.

In Australia Josh has performed (either solo or with his various bands) at such Festivals as Big Day Out, Australia Survival Day Concert, Broome to Bicton, Rock the Bay Festival (VIC) and St Kilda Festival (VIC). He has also played as support act for the likes of Gotye, The Waifs, John Butler Trio, The Beards, Little Red, Filter, Eskimo Joe, Shihad, Gyroscope and many more…

The last 9 years running has seen Josh and his band tour UK, USA, Europe & Asia, playing festivals alongside such acts as The Killers, Imagine Dragons, Ting Tings, Mika, James Blunt, Pete Doherty, Hurts, Franz Ferdinand and Moby, as well as a memorable sets at iconic Los Angeles venues The Viper Room and The House of Blues.

Alongside this rather successful original music career, Josh Johnstone performs upwards of 250 cover gigs per year as either a soloist, in a duo or in a full band; at corporate events, weddings, pubs, clubs, mine sites and various functions… You would be hard pressed to find a quality music venue around Australia that Josh has not performed at!

Had a large range of songs to choose from and even altered one particular song upon our request. Had the party going throughout. The guests loved it and danced the night away.
