A versatile and engaging presenter, Karl is available for keynote presentations, motivational and team-building sessions, corporate events, MC duties, quiz nights, sporting club functions, auctions, fundraising events, and radio and television voice-over work. His entertaining storytelling, humour and extensive sporting knowledge make him a popular choice for audiences of all sizes.
Karl’s passion for sport began at an early age. While attending Guildford Grammar School, he captained the cricket, football and athletics teams and was awarded the school’s prestigious Sportsman of the Year title in 1985. His talent also earned him selection in the Western Australian Under 16 and Under 19 State Cricket teams, with All Australian honours following the Under 16 national carnival.
He launched his senior football career with the Subiaco Football Club in 1986, remarkably playing in a WAFL Grand Final during just his third league appearance. A year later, Karl joined the West Coast Eagles, where he played more than 100 AFL games and was a member of the club’s historic first premiership team in 1992. He also proudly represented Western Australia on five occasions, earning a reputation as an exciting and influential centre half forward.
Following his retirement from professional football in 1996, Karl successfully transitioned into sports media, becoming one of Australia’s best-known football commentators. His passion for sport and ability to connect with audiences have seen him enjoy a long and successful career across radio, television and live sporting events.
Today, Karl continues to entertain audiences through his media work and live appearances, bringing decades of elite sporting experience, behind-the-scenes stories and genuine enthusiasm to every event.
