Tanya Hemi is a solo guitarist, singer-songwriter, and loop mixer, who layers harmonies with catchy melodies. She was born and raised in rural New Zealand but has spent several years travelling and living abroad, and now proudly calls Perth home.
With influences like Xavier Rudd, Etta James, Matt Corby, Kim Churchill, John Butler, Tash Sultana and many more, Tanya Hemi has naturally gravitated towards writing and singing her own songs.
She released her first single “Wake up” in 2021, showcasing a raw glimpse of her life story, social and cultural differences. The song can be found on all streaming platforms.
Tanya devotes every spare moment to writing, creating beats, and performing them around Perth. She can provide a great atmosphere to any occasion, whether it be a small corporate event, an intimate wedding ceremony or a sundowner get together. She is bringing her range and own style of soul, blues, reggae, and pop covers, she can learn songs you many want for your special event as well.
